Enjoy a Norfolk Skies Painting Break, a Holiday, Demonstration
or Workshop (dates in the right-hand panel)
You’ll really enjoy one of Frank’s Painting
Breaks. Frank paints for sheer enjoyment – with
a loose, bold, big brush style. He loves to be free and
unstructured, but even though he bends the rules, he is
a subtle teacher and an innovative Master. His classes
are practical, they’re fun, and with his expert
eye they guide students of all abilities to achieve memorable
results.
Breaks
are limited to just ten people, to ensure that each
benefits from individual tuition. Breaks last four
days over a weekend and are held at Frank’s
luxury B&B in Felthorpe, a picturesque Norfolk
village five miles from Norwich. Whilst Frank will
be your teacher and part-time entertainer, the hospitality
you will enjoy is of course provided with an unerring
sense of style by his lovely wife Carol (probably
the only one who can control his exuberance!).
Painting on Location
End of day critique
The
twin rooms each have private facilities in an extension
built a few years ago. TV and tea/coffee-making
facilities are provided and there is a spacious
resident’s lounge with a large-screen TV,
where you can socialise in the evenings.
There are plenty of places with varying culinary
styles around Felthorpe for dinner in the evenings.
If
the weather is bad, Frank has a large studio where
you can continue to learn, but you’ll spend
most of your time painting on location at some of
the most beautiful places in Norfolk. Non-painting
partners are more than welcome as there are endless
things to do in Norwich, the Broads and the North
Norfolk coast.
Spoil yourself and join Frank for a wonderful painting
break in the area made famous by Cotman,
Seago and Middleton. All courses start on
a Friday and this year's dates are shown in
the panel above.
